There has been increased measles activity in Southwestern Ontario. This includes confirmed cases in neighbouring areas.

Measles cases are usually linked to travel outside of Ontario and are highly contagious. A single case can result in local outbreaks, particularly among unimmunized people.

Region of Waterloo Public Health asks you to:

  • Ensure you are up to date with measles vaccinations
  • Monitor for signs and symptoms of measles
