Dear Families

Thank you again for your continued patience and support as we work through the “Return to School” plan. The upcoming school year will be very different from what we are used to.
To help ease the worry and anxiety for both students and their families, the WRDSB has put together these guides below for families:
A Day in the life for our Students: https://www.wrdsb.ca/returntoschool/return-to-school/a-day-in-the-life-for-our-students/
Guide for Families: http://www.wrdsb.ca/returntoschool/wp-content/uploads/sites/48/GUIDE-FOR-FAMILIES.pdf

The First Day

What days do I attend? – Check here: Staggered Start
Further information on the first day will be coming later this week.

School Supplies

Individual supply kits will be given to students in all classes.
We are encouraging minimal objects travelling between school and home.
Students are asked to label all of their belongings and are asked to bring a water bottle to fill.
The water filling stations will be open but the water fountains are closed.
Students will need to take their water bottle home every day to be washed

Shoes

To limit traffic in hallways and to enforce physical distancing students are not to bring an extra pair of indoor shoes.
They will wear their outdoor shoes all day.

Layers of Protection

Self-screening every day, physical distancing (where possible), masks, proper hand hygiene, increased cleaning of touch-points and using outdoor space where possible are all part of the layers to reduce the risk of COVID 19 transmission.
The WRDSB has put together a list of FAQ’s that will help answer many of your questions. www.wrdsb.ca/returntoschool/faq/
